Cryolipolysis
Cryolipolysis cools a targeted area in a controlled way, gradually destroying fat cells that the body then eliminates naturally. Results appear over several weeks.
Who this treatment is for
- A localised pocket of fat that resists exercise and diet.
- A precise, well-defined area: love handles, outer thighs, under the chin.
- This is not a weight-loss method: it works on an area, not on your weight.
- A plan you think ahead about, as final results take two to three months.
How a session unfolds
- A conversation to map out the area and check contraindications.
- A protective membrane is placed on the skin, essential to avoid any cold injury.
- The applicator is fitted, drawing in the fold of skin and fat, then the temperature drops.
- The cooling session itself, during which you stay comfortably settled.
- The applicator is removed, followed by a massage of the area that helps mobilise the treated cells.
Duration and sensations
The appointment lasts 60 minutes. The first minutes are the most noticeable: intense cold and a pulling sensation, which give way to numbness once the cold has set in. The massage after the session is more uncomfortable than the session itself. Redness, slight bruising or swelling are possible in the following days.
How many sessions, and how often
Packages cover two or four sessions. First improvements generally appear after three to four weeks, final results between two and three months, sometimes up to six. That timeline determines how sessions are spaced, which is set during the assessment.
Indicative protocol : 1 session, results at 8 to 12 weeks.
Immediately afterwards
- Redness, tingling or numbness in the area are normal and temporary.
- Massaging the area in the following days helps mobilise the destroyed fat cells.
- Drink plenty of water, one and a half to two litres a day for the following month, to support natural elimination.
- Moderate activity, walking or yoga, helps circulation.
- No creams or treatments on the area, and no sun, sauna, steam room or very hot baths for 24 to 48 hours.
- Alcohol slows the elimination of destroyed cells: best to limit it.
- Contact us in case of intense or lasting pain, or anything unusual.
